ICS as the key to streamlined emergency response?
What’s On Your Mind?:

ASTHO concluded that one of the policy barriers to effective response to the H1N1 pandemic was that state and local health partners did not consistently use ICS to coordinate their responses. See the full report at http://www.astho.org/Display/AssetDisplay.aspx?id=4933

If local health departments and your emergency response partners used ICS on a regular basis to respond to minor crises, would this improve your ability to respond to an H1N1-like event? What resources would you need to better incorporate ICS into your normal preparedness and response efforts? In your professional opinion, do you think ASTHO's conclusion about ICS applies to NJ's H1N1 response?
