Flu Clinic Planning at Warp Speed
What’s On Your Mind?:

After the 2004 flu vaccine shortage and 2009 H1N1, Montgomery Health Department redesigned our flu clinics. We now use a series of templates & checklists (see attached) to organize and streamline the planning, marketing, and delivery of our clinics, and it's really reduced staff planning time for annual clinics (from 5 months in 2005 to 60 days in 2012). Our clinics are also more consumer friendly (No Lines!). Most importantly, the attached templates & checklists helped us get emergency clinics scheduled and delivered in as little as 48 hours for the current flu spike.

If planning flu clinics takes lots of staff time and/or your clinics aren't running smoothly, check out the attached templates / checklists (our Flu Clinic SOP guide) and feel free to adopt, adapt, and improve it!

How every health department can use this - TODAY

While we are still in the flu season, we can never stop planning for next year, or the potential spike in flu cases at any time. if you already have a plan, compare your templates and guidance document to the attachments here. Do you have something that is missing? Share it! Or, if you are in the midst of creating a flu clinic SOP, look no further. Modify what is here with your health department name and logo and you have an instant flu clinic SOP! Don't forget to share the SOP with all staff members so they understand their roles.
So easy! Thanks Montgomery Township Health Department.
